Melbourne North Truck Centre reached a major milestone with the proud delivery of our very first truck to JJ Leech and Sons, marking the beginning of an exciting journey for our dealership.

This was more than just a delivery, it’s a symbol of hard work, commitment, and the first of many exciting truck deliveries that we are excited to share with our community.

The relationship with JJ Leech and Sons began back in 2019, when our salesperson, Sundar Baskar, first visited Castlemaine.

Whilst they weren’t looking to purchase at that time, the tide changed in 2021 when they needed a Kenworth K200 and so began a partnership that has only grown stronger over the years.

When JJ Leech and Sons decided to expand their fleet again, they knew exactly what they wanted, a prime mover with an 860mm sleeper, perfectly suited for their B-double trailer operations.

In early 2024, Brian from JJ Leech and Sons met with Sundar to begin the build process for a Kenworth T610SAR, and what a beauty it turned out to be.

Their new Kenworth T610SAR 860mm sleeper is powered by a Cummins X15 engine delivering 550HP and features a factory-fitted Kenworth bumper, fixed turntable by JOST Australia, dovetail by Allstate Truck Repairs, Alemlube greasing system, stainless steel enhancements by Armoury Group, and finished with paint and signwriting by Philip Duus Signs.

This is a truck designed for performance, durability, and style, exactly what JJ Leech and Sons values.

Not only was this an exciting delivery for Brian and the JJ leech and Sons team, it was also our very first Kenworth delivery following our opening in early 2025. What a momentous occasion it was with our whole team being there for the handover.

JJ Leech and Sons is a family-owned business with deep roots in Castlemaine, Victoria, dating back to 1940 when it was founded by Jack Leech at just 17 years old. Today, the business spans three generations, with Brian overseeing day-to-day operations. JJ Leech and Sons provides a wide range of services, including local and interstate freight transport, forklift services, brick cartage, crane trucks, crane hire, and mobile cranes.
